Metoprolol is a beta-adrenergic blocker used in hypertension, angina, acute myocardial infarction, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, and prevention of migraine headaches.
This medication is a beta-blocker, prescribed for high blood pressure either alone or with other medications.
It is also used for chest pain, migraine and hyperthyroidism.
It reduces elevated blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels.
It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing heart rate to improve blood flow and decrease blood pressure.
