What is Voveran Sr 100?

Voveran SR is a sustained release formulation of Voveran meant for slow and extended release in to the blood stream. It has a long duration of action and is used for its anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic actions.

Classification and Mode of Action

Voveran SR has diclofenac in sodium or potassium salts as the active drug. It is an NSAID – Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It exhibits analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic actions. It acts by inhibiting COX – cyclooxygenase which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are substances that initiate the inflammatory process.
